I booked a private room with no window but was put in a room with a window. Bed and linens were very comfortable. Small closet for storing items. Nice hot water in showers, multiple showers and toilets. Staff carried my heavy rolling duffle bag to my room for me. Place was close to numerous restaurants, about 10 min walk from bus station. I was able to store my luggage there after checkout until time to catch the bus to my next town

One of the highlights of Urbanz is the large community kitchen. It’s incredibly well-equipped, making it easy to prepare your own meals and enjoy a home-cooked meal even while traveling. The extremely comfortable lobby and lounging area are perfect for relaxing, working, or simply unwinding after a day of exploring the city. These communal spaces really enhance the overall experience. An added bonus is the ability to use the facilities even after check-out. This convenience allowed me to store my luggage and freshen up before my late departure, which made my travel day much more comfortable. Despite the central location, the price is very affordable, offering excellent value for the quality and amenities provided.

I like that the room was just what i needed in a central location accommodation, A secure door to a Private room, big enough bed, heater and hooks and a bit of entertainment. plus having the USB charging ports was a bonus. The location was very easy to locate and get around the city.

Check in was fast, friendly, and efficient. Parking is right next door, and getting the display permit was a breeze. The entire place is exceptionally clean. The rooms are fully carpeted and seem to be vacuumed each day. The room I was in, and the whole place, really, was very quiet. The room also had openable windows which was great to keep the air fresh. Each bed has power sockets, phone storage pouches that support your phone even with the charging cable plugged in. The bed was very comfortable, with fresh clean sheet, pillow case, and duvet, and was perfectly warm. The bunks creak a bit, but not much. The lockers are all together along the wall. Tall and a bit narrow, but still good. The staff are very helpful. The location is excellent, It's within easy walking distance of almost all the city attractions, bars, restaurants, etc. The bus network runs right outside, so catching a bus is a breeze. This is my go-to from now when visiting Christchurch.

We booked the family room and it was 2 bunks and a very comfy double bed. It had an en-suite with shower, toilet and sink and the water pressure was good. A jug was provided and coffee cups etc. It also had 4 separate lockers in the room for travellers needing valuables stored. Everything was clean and there was a good kitchen and dining area to make use of. Next door there's a cafe called Child Sister that had fabulous food for breakfast. Well worth visiting. There is free off-street parking in some streets around the location but if you want to see your vehicle from the window the Wilson carpark is next to the building and costs $5 for 24 hours. Well worth the peace of mind.
